About the Event

The Gathering

"Restoring Our Sacred Space" is a national Indigenous community development conference & gathering intended to explore the interconnectedness of the basic human right to housing by examining shelter as the centre of nation building and all aspects of individual, family and community life.

This event is envisioned to broaden perspective, create relationships and provide solutions to common challenges through the flaps of our Tipi's and the windows of our homes

The Information

The topics for this event are intended to inspire and expand understanding on the important roles shelter plays in areas such as child & family repatriation, climate change, economic, resource & infrastructure development, employment, education & training, health & wellness and land management.

Target Audience

This gathering is not intended to be exclusive to Housing Providers, but welcomes all stakeholders involved in First Nation community development from our educators, finance managers, land and resource managers to community economic development professionals, government and municipal service providers and industry.
